Ellen Feron
Pelvic Pain Management & Movement CoachHelping you live an active life
Hi, I’m Ellen! I want to create the space for women who live with LS and CPP to feel safe, feel heard, feel supported and feel like they are in capable hands of someone who shares the same dis-ease.
It is possible to dream and to live the life you want to live while living with LS and CPP.
My Story
I have lived with LS for as long as I can remember and understand the nuances of living with the unspeakable sensations of despair, disgust, frustration, sadness and grief. I also understand the fear that goes along with the uncertainty of ” if I move this way what will happen?”
I spent years in denial of symptoms and changes in my body. Years! I had no education on vulvar health, no integrative medical support system, no one close to sharing what I was sensing in my body and frankly I wrote my symptoms off that this was my lot in life and I was made to suffer. I numbed and disassociated. When I accepted that I had Chronic Pelvic Pain, look out. I became a badass advocate for myself. At a time where the internet was limited with scholarly journals on pelvic pain I was at the mercy of a slew of medical professionals. I spent time in my body getting to really know what was ‘off’ physically and then would bring the symptom to the Dr. They would prescribe. I would treat without much relief.
Movement became the medicine that helped me. I am a living testament to finding the joy and ease in the ebbs and flow of life. Bringing playfulness in the moment and seeking opportunities to move with comfort and pleasure.
My Values & Beliefs
Integrity
To show up. Do what you say. Be authentic with your word and honest in your interactions. To actively participate in life.
Healing
To treat myself and others with love. To tune into how I feel and move through it. To nourish my body with healthy foods. I talk to myself like I am my best friend. To move daily.
Authentic Connection
To share your opinions and ideas even if they might not resonate with others. To be fully present in conversations and talk to people like they matter. Hold space for people so show up as they are. To engage with others without expectation.
Fulfillment
To share gratitude. To be present in the moment and content with where I am now, physically and spiritually. To nurture creativity.
My Approach
I work with my clients to increase their body awareness so that they can be open to finding the moments in their life that they are living pain free. In our sessions, you will experience a gentle deep dive into body awareness through integrative movement. Through this somatic movement practice, you will feel the realignment of your mind, body, emotion and spirit.
My gift is being able to connect with my clients and cue the movement to your body. I remind you to give yourself permission to move your body in your own way. Integrative movement is for everyBODY, regardless of body awareness or level of mobility. Conscious movement is an important step to enhance your mental and emotional health while living with LS.
